Sebastian Steinert assumes management of Silverton’s new branch in NRW

Frankfurt, 02. April 2019 – Sebastian Steinert MRICS, 37, is now the manager of the Frankfurt-based Silverton Group’s newly-opened North Rhine-Westphalia (NWR) branch. A qualified industrial engineer (FH) and real estate economist (IRE|BS), Steinert, based in Essen, will identify investment opportunities in NRW’s top cities and, in particular, in the relevant Ruhr cities, including Essen, Dortmund, Duisburg and Bochum. He will also further develop Silverton’s investment and asset management mandates in the region. For this purpose, he will assemble a team of investment managers and analysts for the Essen office and can draw on the support of the head office in Frankfurt.

Sebastian Steinert reports directly to the management and is an authorised signatory. He will work closely with the asset management team, under the leadership of Thorsten Leischke, Head of Real Estate Asset Management.

Prior to joining Silverton, Sebastian Steinert was a member of JLL’s Commercial Asset Management team, most recently as Team Leader and authorised signatory in the Dusseldorf office. He also has several years of experience in the management of non-performing loans, gained as Manager Sales and Investments for Real Estate & Loans at a Swedish financial investor. In that role he acquired distressed real estate loan portfolios, secured by commercial and residential real estate, throughout Germany. He has also spent 12 years in JLL’s Investment and Valuation & Transaction Advisory divisions.

Jascha Hofferbert, director and co-founder of Silverton, comments: „We are delighted that Sebastian Steinert is taking over the management of our new branch in NRW. With many years of experience in the real estate business and in non-performing loans, he also has an established network in NRW and the Ruhr region“.

Silverton sees great potential for commercial value-added properties in the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region, where it already manages a portfolio of several properties. The opening of the new office in Essen will further intensify this support.

The range of services provided by the Silverton Group includes, in addition to investment management and asset management of commercial property and loans secured on real estate; consultancy services for transaction and implementation in the areas of special situations, distressed debt and real estate; risk advisory services; and banking consultancy. Silverton is one of the few loan servicers in Germany to be granted authorisation to provide payment services (Zahlungslizenz) by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BAFin). The company has offices in Essen, Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, Zagreb and New York.

Silverton currently has 400 million Euro of assets under management in the real estate sector.
